Council urged to pay for broken glasses

AFTER Indiana Anthony, 6, tripped over a council barricade and broke her prescription glasses, her mother Rochelle asked Sutherland Shire Council to contribute to the cost of a new pair.At first, the council said it was not liable and refused to help. But now it has said it would consider a submission by the parents for the council to share the replacement cost of the glasses.Rochelle Anthony, a mother of four, said her daughter Indiana was walking home from school along Denman Avenue, Woolooware, on August 1 with her older brother Cody, 12, when she tripped on a barricade the council had placed on a footpath where it was carrying out repairs to a driveway."A witness to the accident helped Indiana to a nearby house," Mrs Anthony said."She was bleeding and screaming.
"When I arrived her face, especially her mouth and nose, were extremely swollen and bloody."She was in shock and her prescription glasses were smashed to pieces."I took her to Sutherland Hospital."She had put her teeth through her lip in the fall, had cuts and grazes over her face and a possible fractured nose."Mrs Anthony reported the incident to the council and asked if it could contribute to the cost of a pair of new prescription glasses which are worth about $350."The council staff told me they were not liable," Mrs Anthony said."I'm not the sort of person who would sue the council but I felt they were being a bit ungenerous."After all the rates I have paid over the years, you wouldn't think contributing to a new pair of glasses for a six-year-old would be asking too much."A council spokeswoman confirmed it had received a phone call regarding the accident.
"Barricades to protect pedestrians had been set up by the council around works that were being carried out on a driveway," she said."An inspection of the accident site was carried out and it determined that the site was clearly marked and that the barricades were obvious."It was found there was no evidence of negligence or omission on behalf of the council."According to N3L, here are the key specs to look for in sunglasses for golf.Photographs of Prince Harry naked published online. The N3L Gearus in their stores are fully trained on all sports, so if you where to come into a store looking for a sunglass to golf in they would educate you on these features and help to find you a sunglass that matches them.

They help to see the grain of the grass and any dead areas, which is essential to judging the speed of the green for putting.Open Edge Lenses: Downward vision is a must because you're hitting the ball off the ground. Full frames can block your view and just flat out bug youPhotochromic: Light conditions can change a lot during 18 holes, and this feature lets the tint darken or lighten as the light conditions do.Impact protection: Sometimes the word "fore" just isn't enough!UV protection: Golfers spend more time in the sun than athletes in any other sport.
