They made a big mistake to kill him

They stopped speaking after the altercation, Cruz said, but she grew worried about his mental state and called him Sunday to discover his phone was disconnected."When I woke up (Sunday) morning, I got the feeling something was wrong," Cruz told The Journal News. "They made a big mistake to kill him and I'm gonna fight this case."New Rochelle City Manager Charles Strome said Samuel Cruz was taken to Jacobi Hospital Medical Center in the Bronx, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.Strome said officers went to the apartment after a call from his estranged wife. Schaller would not comment, but did say that city police had contact with Cruz in the past. He would not provide details."Police tried to talk him out of the apartment," Strome said. "They tried to taser him, that didn't work. Then he attacked one of the officers with a knife and the officer was forced to shoot him."In New Rochelle, a longtime neighbor and friend of Samuel Cruz's said she had expressed concern last week that he had ceased taking anti-psychotic medication.
She said friends notified police for help."He is normally a very gentle person," neighbor Annette Deutsch said. "I told them on Thursday. Two policemen were here and we talked a long time. I said he has to be hospitalized. He's off his medication."(Sunday) he was in his apartment and the next thing I heard there was a ton of police here. I couldn't count them," Deutsch said. "He had been shot dead."The death of Samuel Cruz is the latest controversial police shooting in the Lower Hudson Valley. The family of Herve Gilles filed a lawsuit last year accusing a Spring Valley police officer of negligence in fatally shooting the mentally ill man whom a grand jury determined attacked the officer while drunk in December 2011.In November 2011, Kenneth Chamberlain Sr., 68, was killed by White Plain police, who broke down his apartment door after an hourlong standoff and shot him when he came at officers with a knife and a hatchet.Grand juries in both cases did not indict the police officers who killed the men.
The woman was enjoying a morning feeding the baby ducks and strolling in Christchurch Park with her children when a man suddenly demanded her purse, butted her when she refused to hand it over and then chased her.The victim has said the attack left her "terrified" as she thought she was going to be killed. The man struck the woman on the back as she ran, and she suffered cuts and bruises in the incident in Christchurch Park.Police have issued an e-fit of the suspect and also CCTV images of a man in Christchurch Mansion they wish to speak to taken around the time of the robbery at 11am on Saturday. The 38-year-old victim – who has asked not to be named – said she had been enjoying a morning with her two children, aged three and one year, feeding the baby ducks and strolling in the park. Endowments proposed for students

According to President Nate Strong, if the two proposals for endowments seen by Senate on Monday, pass, ASSP will change."I think that we here will have the opportunity to have a huge change in the way that we as ASSP operate, and I think in a good way," Strong said. "We come up with a sustainable way to lower student fees and increase student scholarship at the same time."According to Seattle Pacific’s endowment webpage, "SPU’s endowment consists of donations and institutional funds set aside for permanent investment in order to produce a dependable stream of annual operating income for the university."Strong, Executive Vice President Tim Seemuth, knife to BBC's management structure  Vice President of Finance Jacob Redding and Vice President of Ministries Audrey Riddle authored the proposals. Both proposals would take money from the ASSP Rollover Contingency Fund, which currently sits at more than $400,000, and invest it in two separate endowments.Typically, the ASSP Rollover Contingency Fund is set aside for "one-time purchases of over $500 that are long term oriented" or "unforeseen and emergency costs," according to the ASSP Finance Board Guidelines.
One endowment proposed, called the ASSP Scholarship Endowment, would take $100,000 from the ASSP Rollover Contingency Fund and move it to the Student Financial Services Tuition Assistant Fund. The Student Financial Services Tuition Assistant Fund would then invest the endowment and receive yearly interest. Every year, 5 percent of the endowment would go toward student scholarships, and the endowment plus the remaining return would be re-invested.If approved, the use of the Rollover Contingency Fund for the purpose of this endowment would be an exception with the intention that the proposals "shall not be cited for future actions of the Contingency Fund," according to the proposal. The other endowment proposed, called the ASSP Operational Endowment, would take $150,000 from the Rollover Contingency Fund and invest it for the purpose of decreasing ASSP student fees."The operational endowment is something that will be attached to student fees… It will really off set that number to 240," Redding said in referance to the yearly ASSP student fee. "All it can do is give back to students."

knife to BBC's management structure

In his programme, Sir David has explored the BBC archive for clips of the great sketch show performers from wartime radio show It's That Man Again and Variety stars such as Ken "Daft as a Brush" Platt to the Two Ronnies, Morecambe and Wise and Bruce Forsyth. He acknowledged that audience nostalgia for historic television was threatened by the wave of allegations against former entertainment stars, including Jimmy Savile and Stuart Hall. "It's unbelievable," he said. "Obviously any one of these terrible incidents where people were assaulted is one too many but I don't know whether we are talking of something more widespread than the people who have been singled out so far. It's that question between whether it is a small group of people or if it is wider."Speaking in the study of his London offices, surrounded by photographs taken with world leaders including Bill Clinton and Mikhail Gorbachev, Sir David also talked of his continuing plans for interviewing world figures for the Al Jazeera English network, for which he has worked since 2006.

A new series of "The Frost Interview", beginning in July, will see him speaking to spaceman Buzz Aldrin, Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and racing driver Lewis Hamilton. At 74, he retains his appetite – "as much as ever" - for such encounters. "I could never understand how people could want to retire," he said. But there is one world leader at the top of his interview wish list: Robert Mugabe. In a typical aside, he mentioned how the comedian Bob Monkhouse had alerted him to the fact that "Mugabe spelt backwards is e-ba-gum".Though Sir David spoke briefly with the Zimbabwean leader at a Commonwealth summit in 1991, he has never subjected him to the Frost treatment, with its mixture of easy charm and strategic interrogation. "He has lived longer as leader than anyone thought was possible," he said.

Within the brain there are nerve cells and also cells that support and protect the nerve cells. The supporting cells are called glial cells. A tumour of these cells is known as a glioma.Astrocytomas, ependymomas and oligodendrogliomas are all types of glioma. They are named after the cells from which they grow: astrocytes, ependymal cells and oligodendrocytes.A mixed glioma is a malignant tumour that contains more than one of these cell types, for example, astrocytes and oligodendrocytes. This type of mixed glioma is referred to as an oligo-astrocytoma and shows characteristics of both these tumours.

The most common site for a mixed glioma is the cerebrum, the main part of the brain. Like other malignant tumours, it may spread to other parts of the brain (see diagram below). Although mixed gliomas are more common in adults, they can occur in children. For unknown reasons, they are more common in men than women.Astrocytomas and oligodendrogliomas are the most common primary tumors of the adult brain. Both tumors are types of gliomas. Primary brain tumors arise from cells of the brain itself rather than traveling, or metastasizing, to the brain from another location in the body. Gliomas can be slowly growing (low-grade, grades 1 and 2), or rapidly growing (high-grade, grades 3 and 4). This material will give important facts about the diagnosis and treatment of high-grade gliomas.Once a brain tumor is detected on a CT or MRI scan, a neurosurgeon obtains tumor tissue for examination by a neuropathologist (a biopsy). The neuropathologist then gives the tumor a name and grade. The exact name and grade of the tumor determine treatment options, and also give important information about prognosis.
